Dr. and Mrs. Urano go on medical mission to Guatemala.

I’ve gone back and forth on how to write this, wanting to sound personable, yet professional and unbiased. But the truth is, I’m far from unbiased and my relationship with the subjects goes way beyond professional. They are my parents, Dr. Gary and Leslie Urano, and I’m so proud to be able to say that. On top of actively raising five kids and building successful careers, these two have always managed to find ways to give back. Whether it be volunteering at medical clinics or sheltering a young family(complete strangers) during a hurricane evacuation, my parents have always set an example of charity. Last year, they began going on medical missions to provide much needed health care services to the impoverished villages in the jungles of Guatemala. Check out some pictures of the Guatemala Medical Mission and a brief account of their experience written by my dad, Dr. Gary Urano.
